LUSH Cupcake Face Mask Short Review

Hello everybody! I'm back to do a review on this mask that everyone has been raving lately! (:

Here's a brief background on what LUSH is about and what does Cupcake do:

Lush

WE BELIEVE

We believe in making effective products from fresh, organic* fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics.
We invent our own products and fragrances. We make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made.
We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans.
We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud.
We believe in long candlelit baths, sharing showers, massage, filling the world with perfume and in the right to make mistakes, lose everything and start again.
We believe our products are good value, that we should make a profit and that the customer is always right.
* We also believe words like fresh and organic have honest meaning beyond marketing.

Cupcake Face Mask
The lighthearted side of this mask has cocoa powder, vanilla absolute and spearmint oil - because we wanted this to bring all the comfort of a chocolate bar.  Well, a chocolate bar that doesn’t cause spots, of course!
This mask was invented by Mo, when her teenage daughter had started to have gangs of friends to the house for sleepovers. They wanted to have pamper sessions but found most of the face masks a bit serious and odd-smelling for their teenage tastes.  So Mo wanted to pack some serious ingredients into a lighthearted base that was more user friendly. What she came up with is great for teenagers - but lovely for the rest of us too.
Featured Ingredient
The rhassoul mines are located alongside the Atlas Mountains in the Moulouya valley, approx 200km from the City of Fes. There is enough rhassoul already mined to supply for the next ten years and up to 500,000 kilos can be shipped from this facility per year.

Alright, so basically I use this mask for 3 times in a week for 3 weeks and below are what I found after using the product:

1st time use - 10 mins
- face is clean and smooth
- pimples become red but back to normal after awhile
- face is matte but no tight feeling
- have little bit of exfoliating purpose
- smells nice

2nd time use - 5 mins
- big pimples have pus coming out after using (at first dont have pus, but after use, all the pus came out)
- clean and smooth feeling (can't help touching my face)
- no tight feeling
- can feel that it absorb oil from skin cuz pus appear
- not much difference on blackhead

3rd time use - 5 mins
- pus immediately formed for pimples on both cheeks.
- didn't mask on whole face, only target pimples areas.

Final verdict: This mask helps in controlling shine ,absorbing extra oil that surfaces on your skin and I don't see any oiliness on my T-zone after 3-4 hours with makeup! Good for that! However, it does not help in lessen or prevent pimples on my skin. My pimples are still red and the pus keep popping out! *Panic mode*

This product costs way more expensive than other masks and it can only last for up to a month. What I feel is that, since it does not do any justice to my skin, so I won't really recommend it to my friends at all. :(
Going to go back to sheet masking tonight!

xoxo
Jo
